Some Things to Know
When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday or next non-holiday day is a government holiday. Also, many of these holidays and dates change from year to year. During some multi-day holidays, many people take the whole week off work to celebrate. …. Christmas to New Year WEEK and Chinese New Year WEEK are also busy times of the year, although not official holidays.
November 1st to March 31st is the busiest time of year in Cambodia. As is July for some reason.
Most hotels and guesthouses here take reservations, some don’t. Best to book a room if you know you’re coming on one of the big holidays.
We don’t have 2026 holidays yet. Many holidays are on the same day, many differ, some disappear, and some new ones come up. But as soon as the Cambodian Government votes on a holiday schedule (hopefully before the end of 2025) we’ll let you know.
